Our Take:
We’ve been going to Absolute Sports Cards since before it was Absolute Sports Cards–we believe they technically don’t have anything to do with the previous owner other than location, but back in the days of Billy’s Sports Treasures it was one of the few stores that actually opened in the Twin Cities not long after the days of Shinders, and a lot of my 2007-2008 collecting was done there. I’ve been in several times in the years since the new store opened, even though I don’t do a lot of collecting now, and it’s generally one of my go-to stores for supplies when I need something right away. The owners/employees always seem nice, although often they do seem to be busy calling people to let them know their graded cards are in. Was bummed that they didn’t have much for set building help for the one set a year I do with my son, but understand that’s not something a lot of stores carry these days.
