From the Web*:
Source Comics & Games is about as close to a Twin Cities institution as this hobby gets. Occupying over 10,000 square feet on Snelling Avenue in Roseville, it’s regularly cited as the largest comic and games store in Minnesota — and the review count backs that up, with nearly 3,700 Google reviews and a 4.8 rating built up over many years of loyal customers. The store carries comics (new releases, back issues, and a free pull list service), board games, RPGs, TCGs, miniatures, models, collectibles, toys, manga, books, and novelties, plus an Adventure Club discount card program offering 10% off everything in the store for a modest annual fee.
The gaming area is a genuine community hub — almost every night of the week you can walk in and find people playing tabletop games, Magic: The Gathering, D&D, or other organized events. The event calendar is active and the game room space is free to reserve for groups. The store has a thoughtfully written inclusivity policy that sets a clear and welcoming tone, and reviewers consistently describe the atmosphere as exactly that — welcoming to everyone from longtime collectors to curious first-timers being introduced to the hobby by a parent or friend. More than one reviewer mentions coming here as a kid with a parent and now bringing their own kids.
A couple of things worth knowing before you make the trip: Source does not sell sports cards, and does not sell Pokémon singles — they carry Pokémon sealed product and booster packs, but if singles are what you need, you’ll want to plan accordingly. Pricing on some items has been flagged by a handful of reviewers as running slightly high, though this is in the minority of feedback. Parking can get tight during peak hours. These are minor notes against an otherwise outstanding store that has earned its reputation as the go-to destination for comics and tabletop gaming in the metro.

Our Take:
Dumfounded on a couple points here–first, that I don’t think I went to Source when I used to live not far away (wasn’t in my comic book collecting days, but…still surprised I wouldn’t have stopped in to check it out), and second that it took me this long to add it to this site–especially since I actually stopped by to check it out (and take a store pic…which I have to find) at least a couple years ago. And the info above is correct–very large store, massive inventory, and I assume the exact type of store you envision when you hear ‘comic book store.’
