Our Take:
I finally made it back up to the Duluth-Superior area in September of 2025, but didn’t have a lot of time to check out shops–but I did make it into Globe News briefly…one of the reasons being that of all the shops listed on the site, I kind of expected Globe News to have the most Shinders-like feel to it…and from that stand point, I was actually a bit disappointed. That’s not at all to say it was a bad experience–it was just way nicer on the inside than I expected it to be. Unless I missed them, they didn’t appear to have any sports cards (despite the giant ‘Baseball Cards” sign on the outside…which appears to be from the Shinders era), but they did have lots of TCG cards & supplies, a gaming area, records, and plenty of comics. The store was very spacious, and from what I could tell the staff was helpful (with other customers–again, I was just there briefly). So probably a great store–just not what I was expecting.
